In addition to being the lead guitarist, Jon writes a large portion of Unforsaken's music, as well as taking on a great deal of the engineering of the band's albums. He is also responsible for the graphic design behind Unforsaken's album covers and liners.

Jon began playing guitar at the age of 11, and started writing music at 18. Later he helped to start a band called The Lost Cause, in which he played lead guitar. In the spring of 1993, Jon and Thomas met at a WhiteHeart concert, arranged an audition, and formed the beginnings of Unforsaken.

Besides playing and teaching guitar, Jon has a strong interest in the recording end of the music industry, and runs his own studio, "Spruce Winds Recording Studio" in Millbrook, Ontario.

Some of Jon's Musical Influences include Rez, Stryper, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and King's X.
